Rev. Dr. Robert Waterman, A.A., B.A., M.Div., DMin. is a dedicated pastor, community influencer, business owner, author, and activist. I am married to Lola O. Waterman and father to Nia, Imani, and Jada. Undeviating and persuasive, I am proud to be a man after God's own Heart.
I was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Hemingway, South Carolina. Besides studying hard, I participated vigorously in church, school, and sports. I got my undergraduate degrees in Social Science, Political Science, and Communication from The City University of New York, Hunter College. Also, I was part of the All-American Academic Team, the Dean’s List, and the College Scholarship Talent Roster. I am likewise blessed to be a recipient of the Belle Zeller Scholarship and New York University Scholarship.
While in college, I was a full-time mechanical engineer, which was a position that I held for more than 20 years. I later finished a master’s degree from the New York Theological Seminary and a doctorate in ministry from Drew University. For more than a decade, I have been serving as the Pastor of the Antioch Baptist Church in the Bedford-Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn.
